Studio Lighting Final Project

For my final project I wanted to experiment with making colorful photographs. I have stacks and stacks of magazines such as Marie Claire and Vogue, all with turned down pages on the concepts that I find very beautiful. More than half of these turned down pages are bright and colorful. I have always been visually drawn to bright colors so I wanted to see if I could use my skills in studio lighting and PhotoShop to accomplish the looks that I wanted for this project.

 

Behind the Scenes in Los Angeles

I recently had the opportunity to fly out to LA with Andrew Kung Photography & the Pinnacle 10 team. We were very lucky to shoot at Studio22 for all of the studio shots. Location shoots were done on Malibu Beach, off of Rodeo Dr. in Beverly Hills, and at the Thompson Hotel in Beverly Hills.

These were some of the images I shot for my "Still Life Critique" in my Studio Lighting class. It was not my favorite project. I DEFINITELY prefer shooting people.
